  Joking aside, Karabar High School was surprisingly much better than it's reputation would have you believe.

  Great nuggets of wisdom from Mr Bozza which I continue to apply in my teaching practice. Mr Cunningham also shared excellent planning strategies to increase my ability to plan things out well in advance. Principal Turvey also came across as very approachable and suggested some good hacks to assist with my teaching. English staff very welcoming.

  Only drawback was a few communication barriers with a few members of staff. As with anything, it takes time for new teachers to a given school to adapt to an existing culture.

  Both my children attended high school here and were both involved in music and drama. Great teaching staff.

  For the most part however, some of the staff and teachers seem reasonable at this school once you get to know them.

  Enjoyed my time here. Favourite class was definitely the mixed ability year 10's. Always teeming with new ideas, mischief and creativity. Never left me bored.

  Fun school, no problems I couldn't handle. (Like when I had to stab Gaz & Luka)

  Wish some of the permanent teachers (looking at HSIE and Science faculties) were aware of demonstrating school values more effectively amongst their own staff and peers. For example, I had a few teachers walking into my classroom during my lesson with no acknowledgment or knocking. Had to pull them aside privately and educate them a little on showing some manners.

  Good teachers that are always helpful, other staff are a different story.
